Dear friends and fans,
After a year of isolation, we’re deeply relieved and excited to report that we returned to in-person singing again in September, in our beautiful home space, The Shrine Church of St. Anthony of Padua in Soho. It’s been so meaningful to reconnect our hearts and breath and do what we love again.
We began our season taking it slow—rediscovering past repertoire and our own sound. Then, just weeks into our season, we were invited to perform live again, at (Le) Poisson Rouge in Greenwich Village for the US-premiere performance of composer Charlotte Greve’s SEDIMENTS WE MOVE, with Charlotte and her full band (including sax and synthesizer!) Our performance was just one part of New Amsterdam’s Triple Album Release Show, with Phong Tran and the NOW Ensemble.
We're now preparing to record an album of music that has grown especially dear to us as we continue to emerge from our pandemic-induced hibernation. across the open spaces is a collection of pieces largely written for us and by us, and that reflect on personal space, isolation, and intimacy. We can't wait to share this music with you when it's ready.
We hope to see you again in person soon!
